Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actress. Her best-known role is Skyler White in her role on the AMC Drama Breaking Bad, for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and in 2014 in the category of Outstanding Supporting actress in the Drama Series. Alongside her roles as Martha Bullock and Jean Ward, she has appeared in The Practice. Anna Gunn began acting as a child at Sante Fe New Mexico. After that, her family relocated to Ohio in the United States, where she nurtured her passion for performing on theatre. Anna attended the British American Drama Academy and took classes in theatre through Northwestern University. Anna began her journey in Chicago performing in stage roles for many years. Later, she relocated to Hollywood and began acting in TV shows and films. Anna was chosen to play Arden in the TV show Down the Shore in the 29-episode series Down the Shore. Anna continued to appear in movies and television shows like Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others until late 1990's. She was then cast in The Practice as Jean Ward. Martha Bullock, a character that she played for a period of two seasons on Deadwood's season two. In 2008 she was cast as Skyler on Breaking Bad. Sully was the Deadwood film and other films also featured her. Gunn appeared in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers, a production directed by David Schwimmer. She also appeared in the four-part podcast audio drama Numbered days, which was released in 2022. Breaking Bad is often centered around the relationship between Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their strained bond and their eventual break up echoes end of Walter White's life.
